Why do you care what a stranger calls themself

Like really?? Does it even fucking matter? Why do you care so much about what someone identifies as, like what if you befriend someone and then they tell you they're ___ gender like what, you just throw them in the pit??

I'm getting real tired of all these "is ___ a gender???" and "How many genders???" threads. 

What you should really call them is  

"I want attention!! I'm making this thread for any attention at all!"
